Building Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled Renewables Building Surveyor to join our team and contribute to our mission of integrating renewable energy solutions into our housing projects.

Job Summary:

As a Renewables Building Surveyor , you will play a vital role in assessing mould, planning, and implementing renewable energy technologies within our housing developments. Your expertise will help us enhance the sustainability of our housing portfolio while providing energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly homes to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Building Assessments:

· Conduct comprehensive assessments of our housing properties to identify opportunities for the integration of renewable energy systems, such as solar panels, heat pumps, and energy-efficient insulation.

Feasibility Studies:

· Prepare detailed feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed renewable energy projects, ensuring alignment with budget constraints and regulatory compliance.

Design and Planning:

· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to design and plan the integration of renewable energy technologies into new construction or retrofitting of existing buildings.

Regulatory Compliance:

· Stay informed about local and national building codes and renewable energy regulations, ensuring all projects adhere to these standards.

Project Management:

· Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines for renewable energy installations, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Vendor Selection:

· Identify and select appropriate renewable energy suppliers and contractors, negotiate contracts, and oversee project implementation to ensure quality and efficiency.

Energy Performance Optimisation:

· Recommend and implement energy-efficient building practices and technologies to improve overall energy performance and reduce environmental impact.

Monitoring and Reporting:

· Establish monitoring systems to track the performance of renewable energy systems, analyse data, and prepare regular reports for management and regulatory purposes.

Sustainability Advocacy:

· Promote sustainable building practices within the organization, providing guidance and education to colleagues, residents, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in building surveying, renewable energy project management, or a similar role.

· Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and their application in buildings.

· Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Familiarity with local and national building codes and renewable energy regulations.

· Passion for sustainability and a commitment to environmental responsibility.
