Job Title:    Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Design Engineer
Location:    Sheffield
Salary:        £50,000
Holiday:      25 days + Bank Holidays
Other:         Private Healthcare, Life Assurance, Pension, Overtime payments, accredited heat pump training and various over training

Our Client is a leading player in the green and renewable energy sector. They are committed to creating sustainable solutions for their clients. As an Air Source Heat Pump Design Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in designing efficient and environmentally friendly heating systems.

Responsibilities:
 
  • System Design: Collaborate with project teams to design air source heat pump systems for residential and commercial properties. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Technical Specifications: Review and challenge technical specifications and mechanical drawings. Provide input on system components, layout, and sizing.
  • Fault Finding: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to heat pump systems. Implement effective solutions to optimize performance.
  • Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety requirements during installation, service, and repair activities.
  • Customer Training: Educate customers on the use and maintenance of their new heat pump systems.

Requirements:
  • Experience: You’ll be an experienced plumbing and heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with air source heat pumps.
    • Compitent in the use of design software such as AutoCAD
    • Understanding of domestic hot and cold water systems.
    • Proficiency in reviewing technical specifications and mechanical drawings.
  • Qualifications:
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., BPEC L3 or equivalent in heat pump installation).
    • Knowledge of low carbon heating and hot water systems.
