Job Title: Design Engineer
Location: Greater Manchester
Salary: Up to £45,000
Holiday: 21 days + Bank Holidays
Responsibilities:
- System Design: Collaborate with project teams to design air source heat pump systems for residential and commercial properties. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Technical Specifications: Review and challenge technical specifications and mechanical drawings. Provide input on system components, layout, and sizing.
- Fault Finding: Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to heat pump systems. Implement effective solutions to optimize performance.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to health and safety requirements during installation, service, and repair activities.
- Customer Training: Educate customers on the use and maintenance of their new heat pump systems.
- Carry out system designs, pick lists and ensuring jobs deadlines are met for products to be ordered
- -Provide technical support to the aftercare department, engineers and customers
- Ensure the surveyors are producing the best quality of work they ensuring that designs where the highest quality they can be
- Dealing with private customers ensuring they are in the loop with the progress of their quotes ensuring they are receiving the correct information and accurate quotes for works to be carried out.
- Experience: You’ll be an experienced plumbing and heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with air source heat pumps.
- Understanding of domestic hot and cold water systems.
- Proficiency in reviewing technical specifications and mechanical drawings.
