Job Title:    Electrical Supervisor for Solar PV (Domestic and Commercial)
Salary:        £38,000 - £45,000

Holiday:      21 days + Bank Holidays

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor. As an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards within our organisation. Your role will be crucial in upholding our commitment to providing safe and high-quality electrical services to our clients.

Responsibilities:

Ensure Compliance:
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with the requirements of the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) and other relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Supervise Electrical Work: Monitor and supervise electrical work performed by our team of electricians, ensuring that all activities are carried out in compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance system to ensure that all electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance work meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and provide guidance to electricians to enhance their skills and knowledge in line with industry standards and regulations.
  • Documentation and Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all electrical work carried out, including inspection reports, certification, and test results, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
Inspections and Audits:
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess compliance with electrical safety regulations and standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Client Relations:
  • Work closely with clients, providing expert advice and guidance on electrical safety matters, addressing any concerns or issues, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest developments, regulations, and best practices in the field of electrical safety and quality standards, and proactively implement improvements to enhance our organization's operations and services.

Requirements:
 
  • Hold valid Qualifications as a Qualified Supervisor but support to achieve this can be given.
  • Hold relevant electrical qualifications to C&G/ NVQ Level 3.
  • Hold C&G/ NVQ Test and Inspection 2391 or 2394/2395.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of electrical regulations and standards.
  • Have a proven track record of working in a similar role within the electrical industry, with a strong focus on electrical safety compliance and quality assurance.
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of electrical regulations, including the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), and relevant industry standards and codes of practice.
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively supervise and guide a team of electricians, ensuring compliance and fostering a culture of safety and quality.
  • Exhibit a meticulous approach to work, with a strong attention to detail in reviewing documentation, conducting inspections, and implementing quality control processes.
  • Display strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve electrical safety issues and implement preventive measures.
  • Have a customer-centric mindset, with the ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development, keeping up-to-date with industry advancements, regulations, and best practices.
