Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced electrician to join our team as a Renewable Energy Electrician. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing renewable energy systems, with a focus on solar PV and ASHP. Additionally, the role involves handling general domestic heating installations. Key Responsibilities Renewable Energy Installations:
Install and commission solar PV and Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) in residential properties.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations during installations.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to renewable energy systems.
General Domestic Heating:
Install and maintain traditional heating systems in residential buildings.
Collaborate with other tradespeople (e.g., plumbers, HVAC technicians) to integrate heating systems effectively.
Conduct periodic inspections and preventive maintenance on existing heating systems.
Electrical Work:
Perform electrical wiring, connections, and testing for both renewable energy systems and general heating installations.
Safely handle electrical components, ensuring proper grounding and insulation.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details, maintenance logs, and safety checks.
Provide clear and concise reports to supervisors and clients.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients, explaining the benefits of renewable energy systems and addressing any concerns.
Offer guidance on energy-efficient practices and system usage.
Qualifications and Skills
Hold a Level 3 or above qualification in Electrical Installations.
Familiarity with renewable energy equipment and installations, especially solar PV and ASHP.
Excellent problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
Driving Licence
Comply with health and safety regulations during all work activities.
Additional Information
This role may involve occasional travel to different job sites within the local area.
Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate client schedules.
