We are currently working with one of the UK’s leading technical and energy services providers who specialise in major decarbonisation and net zero solution projects within the commercial and public sector.
They are looking for an Energy Engineer to support the full lifecycle of projects from early-stage design through to construction verification and post-completion performance. You’ll play a key role in turning ideas into buildable, high-impact solutions that deliver measurable energy and carbon savings.
Duties will include:
Delivery of Investment Grade Audits (IGA) and Proposals (IGP).
Assisting the preparation and submission of funding applications, including Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) applications.
Energy modelling and feasibility studies.
Carrying out non-intrusive site audits to identify measures for savings such as lighting, HVAC, metering, fabric, central plant, infrastructure, and renewables.
Analysing and interpreting data and providing outputs such as benchmarking, load profile review, and regression.
Determining the potential carbon and energy savings, costs, and payback for energy measures.
Writing, developing and preparing detailed energy audits/studies including solicitation and summary of sub-contractor pricing, economic analysis, and technical specifications.
Liaising with clients, technical teams, suppliers, and contractors.
Energy Engineer – Requirements
Bachelors Degree in an Engineering field, preferably Energy Engineering.
Substantial and proven commercial experience ideally within an energy performance contractor or energy consulting working on live environments
Experience in delivering Energy Performance Contracts, energy auditing, report writing and developing output for both high level and investment grade audits.
A good understanding of energy conservation measures and the process to deliver studies accordingly.
Energy Engineer – Salary & Remuneration
Salary of up to £65,000 (Dependent on experience)
