Field Service Generator Engineer – Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Field based Service Engineer for our client based in Hampshire. They are an established contractor that specialize in Diesel Generator & Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Systems. The role will be field based throughout Hampshire working on various types of commercial sites such as Data Centers, Healthcare premises and others.

Day to day you will be field based, attending site to carry out Service and Maintenance works on generators for both scheduled service work and repairs/breakdowns. You will resolve issues on customer sites whilst ensuring that all aspects of their systems continue to work. The majority of sites use the generators for standby power and it is critical that these systems are uninterrupted. Alongside attending sites, you will also assist the team with technical knowledge for sourcing products/equipment for upcoming works and dealing with technical queries when required.

A Full UK Driving Licence and the ability to obtain Police Vetting are essential. Please be aware that for Police Vetting to be obtained, applicants must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.

Field Service Generator Engineer – Requirements
 
  • Standby diesel generator engineering: 1 year (preferred)
  • Other electrical/mechanical engineering: 1 year (required)
  • In-depth understanding of diesel generators and demonstrable experience working with commercial power generators (preferred)
  • UK Driving License (required)
  • Clean Criminal Record

  • Salary £38,000 - £48,000
