We are working with a successful and established Renewable Energy company who are looking for a Heat Pump Engineer for Service & Maintenance works in the Midlothian area. This role will be split between their O&M Department and their Design & Build department, doing a mixture of service, breakdown and maintenance works on Commercial Heat Pumps and Installation/commissioning works on their innovative ‘Clean Heat Networks’.
The company specialise within installing Heat Pump Networks – a Heat Network providing heating and hot water to communities up to hundreds of properties, as well as individual GSHP & ASHP to commercial and large domestic properties such as Manor Houses, Universities, Retirement Homes and Care Homes. On the O&M side looking after 3 x large Developments which have a central plant room with a commercial ASHP. A couple of them are housing developments where each house has its own HIU linked to a heat network with a central energy centre. Your role will be servicing, maintaining fault finding and repairing the Heat Pump and Plant Room Systems. If you haven’t worked on Commercial Heat Pumps yet, they can give you full training, all they are looking for is an Engineer with good domestic heat pump knowledge who is keen to learn.
You will also work on the associated systems in the plant room such as pumps, strainers, electrical controls and more. They will also get you additional qualifications such as F-Gas if you don’t have it already. When you’re not servicing, you will be helping their installation team installing commercial scale heat pumps, plant rooms and heat pump networks.

Experience with Heat Pumps and willingness to train on commercial scale systems
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing & Heating
Unvented G3 & Water Regs
F Gas 2079 (Advantageous)

Salary £40,000 - £50,000
