Our client is a leading provider in the green and renewable energy sector, committed to reducing reliance on fossil fuels. As part of their expansion, they are seeking a skilled ASHP Design Engineer to join their team.
Role Summary:
As an ASHP Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing efficient and sustainable Air Source Heat Pump systems for our customers. Your responsibilities will include assessing technical surveys, performing heat loss calculations, and creating detailed ASHP system installation plans.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate heat loss and determine appropriate system sizing.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and preferences.
  • Design bespoke ASHP systems that optimize energy efficiency and performance.
  • Prepare detailed installation plans, including equipment layout, piping, and electrical connections.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with installation teams to provide technical guidance during implementation.
  • Troubleshoot design-related issues and propose solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
  • Proven experience in plumbing, heating, or construction.
  • Knowledge of heating system design principles.
  • Ability to fault-find and diagnose system issues.
  • Familiarity with domestic hot and cold water systems.
Desirable:
  • Prior experience with ASHP systems (although no prior design experience is required as we provide in-house training).
  • BPEC L3 or equivalent certification in heat pump design or Heat Geek qualified.
Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with customers and colleagues.
