Responsibilities:
  1. System Design and Optimization:
    • Design air source heat pump systems for residential retrofit applications.
    • Optimize system layouts, sizing, and component selection to maximize efficiency and performance.
    • Collaborate with architects, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless integration of heat pump solutions.
  2. Technical Expertise:
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and advancements in heat pump technology.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical assessments for potential projects.
    • Evaluate system performance through simulations and calculations.
  3. Project Management:
    • Manage design projects from concept to completion.
    • Coordinate with installation teams, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control measures.
  4. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed design specifications, schematics, and drawings.
    • Generate technical reports and documentation for clients and regulatory authorities.
    • Maintain accurate records of project progress.
  5. Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other engineers, architects, and stakeholders.
    • Communicate effectively to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
    • Participate in design reviews and team meetings.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
  • Proven experience in designing air source heat pump systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
