We are working with the UK’s primary developer, installer and operator of Heat Pump Networks and standalone commercial scale Heat Pumps. They are looking for a Lead Installer to join their design and build department, leading on both ground and air source heat pump installs.
The company specialise in several types of project. The first is their innovative ‘Heat Pump Networks’ at new build housing sites. This is essentially a district heating system powered by heat pumps. There is a central ‘Energy Centre’ on the new build estate which has either cascaded or large scale Ground Source Heat Pumps and the heating and hot water is transferred to each property on the estate via the large diameter pipework. Each property is usually connected to the network via HIU. Sometimes, the central energy centre will just be a pumping station with each house having its own Heat Pump instead.
Secondly, they install at smaller scale new build projects where up to 20 properties are connected to the same borehole network. Your team will only work in the properties, installing the Ground Source Heat Pump unit, radiators, cylinders and other associated systems however the company do everything including digging the boreholes, laying the main large diameter pipework which each property will then be connected too.
Lastly, the company install larger Air and Ground Source in large scale/high end domestic properties and manor houses. Again, you will lead the team, with your focus being on the Heat Pump unit and commissioning and the supporting Plumbers/Juniors focused on the pipework and radiator installs.
The company are massive on training and development and are going from strength to strength. They have just secured £100million investment and are scaling rapidly, with a lot of this investment going into their installation side. This role will start as Lead Installer but there will definitely be room to move up as the division grows.
Lead Heat Pump Installer – Requirements
- Previous experience installing both Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pumps
- Experienced on all aspects of heat pump installs
- Ability to lead a team
- Full UK Driving Licence
Lead Heat Pump Installer – Salary & Remuneration
- Salary up to £55,000 + Travel Pay + Bonuses
