We are working with a well-established renewable energy company based in the North East who are equipped to manage projects of any scale. They are looking for a fully qualified experienced Solar Electrician to join the team covering areas from the North East to Dumfries and Galloway.
They cover Solar installations ranging from 50KW to 1.4MW from domestic to commercial properties as well as EV Charge points installations.
Within this role you will be responsible for the installation of Solar PV and battery storage systems on commercial / domestic properties in the North East area, roughly completing 2 jobs per day.
You will need to be fully qualified with your 18th Edition, City & Guilds Level 3, Solar PV Installation qualification and 2391 Test & Inspection. You will be responsible for the timely and efficient installation of solar systems onto the roof and making off connections up to and including the inverter and battery (DC Cabling), as well as installation of solar and battery systems working as a team alongside experienced Roofers / Solar panel installers.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with relevant codes and regulations.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.
- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Assist in digging trenches for underground wiring as needed.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge to assist with related tasks.
