Company Overview: Our client is a reputable building services company specialising in energy-efficient systems. Their commitment to sustainability and indoor air quality drives their success and due to growth, they are currently seeking an experienced MVHR Engineer to join our team.
Position Summary: As an MVHR Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, and servicing MVHR systems in residential buildings. Your expertise in heat recovery ventilation technology will contribute to creating healthier and more energy-efficient living and working environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Commissioning and Testing:
Conduct system commissioning, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
Perform airflow balancing and adjust settings as needed.
Test controls, sensors, and alarms to verify optimal operation.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Schedule regular maintenance visits to inspect MVHR systems.
Clean filters, replace worn-out parts, and lubricate fans.
Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues promptly.
Coordinate repairs and replacements as necessary.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate effectively with clients, explaining system operation and maintenance requirements.
Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during installation and maintenance.
Follow best practices to prevent contamination and maintain indoor air quality.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance visits, and repairs.
Complete service reports and submit them promptly.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficient in MVHR installation or maintenance.
Familiarity with relevant British Standards (e.g., BS EN 13141) and Building Regulations.
Certifications:
Hold relevant certifications (e.g., BPEC MVHR Installer, NICEIC Ventilation Installer).
Gas Safe registration (for gas-powered MVHR systems) is advantageous but not necessary.
Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Driving License: A valid driving license is essential.
