Operations Manager
Job Overview:
Our Client is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead and enhance their operational procedures, foster a positive work environment, and ensure customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily activities, improving performance, and driving growth whilst in charge of managing the operation and maintenance of district heating and cooling Networks supplying Retail Units and Domestic Housing.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement efficient operational processes and policies.
  • Management of a small team of engineers and numerous sub-contractors to maintain and operate Energy Centres with boiler outputs in excess of 1.7MW along with the responsibility of maintaining and controlling the safe operation of Cooling Towers and Chiller systems.
  • raising and checking of work permits and associated RAMS and safe system of works Oversee procurement of materials and resources.
  • Managing reactive calls and PPM's  
  • Overseeing recurring plant issues and formulating plans to rectify whilst liaising with clients to support any CRF claims
  • Budgeting, quotations and liaising with suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Planning of Business Continuity Plans, Optimisation plans and Decarbonisation proposals for each site
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
  • Mentor and lead teams to achieve company goals.
  • Enhance the quality of customer service.
  • Drive initiatives that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar role.
  • Experience with commercial boilers, chillers, cooling towers, dry coolers, BMS, PHX’s, plumbing, fans, pumps, motors, generators, AHU’s, FCU’s, CHP, HV, LV
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with MS Office and various business software.
