We are working with one of the UK’s leading technical and energy services providers who specialise in major decarbonisation and net zero solution projects within the commercial and public sector. They deliver decarbonisation and Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) projects up to £30million and above in value for sites such as Hospitals, Universities, Museums and many other complex live environments. They have a talented workforce of over 5,000 people and can offer development, progression and role with true autonomy.
The successful candidate will be working across two major decarbonisation projects for hospital trusts in London. The projects involve decarbonisation of the main energy centre and upgrade of the M&E services across the site. The project will involve upgrading the energy centre systems to modern, low carbon alternatives such as CHP, Heat Pumps or similar.
They are looking for an experienced Project Manager with a strong construction and pre-construction background, ideally gained within the NHS or other complex live operational environments such as healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceuticals, higher education, critical infrastructure or similar.
You will take responsibility for projects at the earliest stages, working closely with clients, consultants and end users to develop project scopes, coordinate design, manage programme and risk, and ensure projects are fully planned before progressing into delivery. They will have a thorough understanding of pre-construction activities, including stakeholder engagement, design development, buildability reviews, procurement, programme planning and cost awareness.
A significant part of the role will involve coordinating multiple stakeholders, balancing operational requirements with project objectives, and maintaining excellent communication throughout the project lifecycle. Experience of delivering projects within occupied buildings is essential, with a clear understanding of the challenges associated with maintaining business continuity, minimising disruption and ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and compliance.
Project Manager – Requirements
- Experience on decarbonisation or Net Zero projects
- Experience with delivering Energy Centre of District Energy projects
- Experience on live environment projects such as Hospitals, Universities or similar.
Project Manager – Salary & Remuneration
- Salary up to £80,000
