Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Renewable Energy Contracts Manager to oversee and manage contracts for domestic solar and ASHP installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy projects, excellent contract management skills, and a passion for sustainability. Regions covered are Ulster (Northern Ireland and Border Counties). The candidate will manage a small team of junior engineers who will be responsible for undertaking all calculations and drawings relevant to the mechanical design of large domestic houses and light commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management: Managing andOverseeing up to 40 projects and all aspects of contract administration, from initial negotiation to completion. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution. Coordinate resources, schedules, and activities to meet project milestones.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are understood and met. Serve as the primary point of contact for contract-related inquiries and issues.
Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the renewable energy sector. Keep up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes.
Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets, manage costs, and ensure financial objectives are achieved. Prepare and present financial reports and forecasts to senior management.
Risk Management: Identify and manage potential risks associated with contracts and projects. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all contracts, communications, and project documentation. Ensure all records are accessible and up-to-date.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in contract management within the renewable energy sector, particularly with solar and ASHP projects.
Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and industry standards.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong financial acumen and experience with budget management.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Prepare detailed design calculations and drawings of underfloor heating, geothermal heating, solar water heating, solar PV & mechanical heat recovery ventilation systems on AutoCAD and issue for approval prior to installation on site.
Desirable Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Engineering, Mechanical/ Building Services, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
Professional certifications in contract management or project management.
Experience with domestic renewable energy installations.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental impact assessments.
3rd level education in an engineering discipline
