Solar Sales Consultant – Overview

We are working with an established and successful Renewable Energy company based in Cheltenham who are seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join the team, focusing on the generation of new Solar PV and Battery Storage works. You will be focusing on the pre-survey section of the process, taking the initial leads of interested customers, contacting them to introduce the company, explaining the benefits of solar and completing basic remote surveys to produce quotes/proposals which will be offered to the customer. Once you have gained the customers interest, this will then be passed to the Field Surveyor who will go to fully survey the property.  

Day to day, the company will provide you with 3-5 leads per day of interested customers. Your job will be to make contact and book in appointments with the customers to begin the sales process. You will answer all questions they have on the companies offering, discuss with them the benefits of Solar & Battery Systems, calculate potential savings that the customer could expect and carry out basic surveys on Google Earth to estimate the roof size, which direction facing the roof is and roughly how many panels could fit on the roof. Sales Consultants will utilise phone, email, and messaging platforms to engage with potential clients who have made enquiries, providing them with insightful information about our products and services to quickly build trust.

The role will require excellent telephone manner and confidence to persevere with contacting customers until you are successful. Candidates for a Tele-Marketing or Call Centre background would be ideal for this role and solar sales experience would be an advantage.

Solar Sales Consultant – Requirements
 
  • Proven track record in sales, with a history of successfully securing projects requiring significant investment for homeowners
  • Strong capability in using digital communication tools for sales purposes.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot CRM or similar customer relationship management tools.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new technology and systems.
  • Ability to understand and convey technical information in an accessible manner.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to calculate and present ROI effectively.

Solar Sales Consultant – Salary & Remuneration
 
  • Basic Salary £28,000 + Bonuses (OTE £50,000+)
