Senior Heating Engineer (Heat Pumps) – Overview

We are currently working with one of the UK’s longest established Heat Pump companies who specialise in GSHP & ASHP installation projects in the local area and nationwide. They specialise in standalone and cascade Heat Pump systems in large domestic and light commercial properties and are looking for a Senior Heating Engineer to join the team.

The role is working on the installation of Ground Source and Air Source Heat Pumps in domestic and light commercial properties as well as plant rooms and associated plumbing work. The projects are varied and often in interesting properties such as large manors and domestic properties, National Trust buildings, Cathedrals, Farmhouses, Schools and other light commercial sites. Many of the projects are in the local area but about 50% of this role is working away (Monday-Thursday with Friday off and a long weekend). You will work in a team ranging from 2-6 Engineers on each project and will travel to projects in all area’s of the country when required to install Renewable Energy systems which will reduce carbon emissions by 70-80%.

They company operate a ‘Long Day/Short Week’ policy when working away so that you only work Monday-Thursday and return on the Thursday to have a long weekend with Friday off. This means that even when working away, this will only be for the first 4 days of the week. You also get a bonus for being away of £25 per day (£125 per week) as well as £50 per day food allowance and other benefits.

This position is for an experienced heating engineer that produces neat, tidy and thoughtful plumbing with consideration for the overall project.
