Solar Electrician 

Location: Worcestershire / West Midlands Salary: Up to £44,000 (PAYE) Contract: Full?time, Permanent Hours: ~40 hours per week + occasional weekends

About the Opportunity

I’m recruiting on behalf of a long?established and well?respected Solar PV installation business in the West Midlands. Due to continued growth and a surge in new project orders, they are looking to add a Fully Qualified UK Electrician to their engineering team.

This is a PAYE position (not CIS or self?employed), offering long?term stability, excellent training and genuine career progression in the renewables sector. Solar experience is not required — full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solar PV installation across domestic and commercial properties

  • Installation of battery storage systems and EV chargers

  • Electrical installation, testing and commissioning

  • Occasional maintenance and fault?finding

  • Working across domestic, commercial and light industrial environments (majority domestic)

  • Ensuring compliance with electrical regulations and safe working practices

  • Occasional nights away depending on project requirements

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

  • 18th Edition

  • 2391 (or equivalent testing qualification)

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Must live in the West Midlands

  • Must have the right to work in the UK

  • Minimum 2 years’ electrical experience (preferred)

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a small, professional team

About the Working Environment

You’ll be joining a tight?knit team of skilled, conscientious engineers delivering Solar PV installations up to 60kW across homes, warehouses, factories, farm buildings and commercial sites. The company has a strong reputation for quality and is expanding due to exceptional demand.

Schedule

  • Monday to Friday

  • Weekend availability when required

  • Occasional nights away depending on project needs

Work Location

One primary location within the Worcestershire / West Midlands region. Candidates must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting.
