We are currently working with one of the largest Renewable Energy companies in the country that specialise in the installation of In-Roof Solar Systems on new build sites. They are currently looking for Roofers/Installers who are keen to cross train on renewables for ongoing large new build development projects in the area.
As a Roofer/ Panel Installer, you will be fitting in roof Solar Panels to new build properties, with a multitude of properties on each site limiting the need to travel around. At each site, you will move from property to property fitting 1-2 houses per day. You will be paid per panel so the more panels you install, the more you will be paid. Despite it being priced per panel, you will be fully employed by the company, meaning that you get all the same benefits as being on the books which are listed below.
The company use mostly Viridian and/or G.S.E inline systems, so experience with these would be an advantage but not essential.
The company offer full training for these systems and will give you intensive training at their training center in order to gain experience with solar for those that don’t already have it. It will be a mobile role moving from site to site once each project is complete therefore a full UK driving licence is required.
Roofer for Solar Installs – Requirements
- Experience working at Heights
- Experience on Roofing works
- Experience fitting in-roof Solar Systems (Advantageous but not essential)
- Full UK Driving License
- £280-£420 per day (paid at £20 per panel)
- Company Van & Fuel Card
- Bonus of £1000 per quarter
