Inbound Solar Sales Consultant – Overview

We are working with a rapidly growing Solar PV company who have just opened a brand new office in Manchester. They have been operating for the last 5 years and have quickly grown to 50+ direct employees with an excellent sub contractor network. They are currently delivering 150 installs per month and have just won two major contracts with two of the big 6 Energy Companies.

They are looking for an inbound Sales Consultant to be based in their Manchester office, playing a key role in the sales process. There is NO cold calling in this role. You will be dealing with inbound leads, understanding customers needs and requirements and taking them through the solar installation process. You will talk them through what is involved, timeframe, costs and arrange a virtual survey of their property via Teams/Google Meet or similar. You will then use their Design Software to create a design of the system (they can train you on this) and close the deal, taking an initial deposit before the role is passed onto the Field Surveying team to go out to and finalise the design and installation dates. Duties include:
 
  • Handle inbound solar and battery storage enquiries and guide customers through the full sales process.
  • Assess customer needs and design tailored solar PV and battery storage solutions.
  • Accurately present system options, benefits, pricing, and ROI to customers.
  • Maintain high-quality customer interactions with care, attention, and professionalism.
  • Use CRM to track leads, manage pipelines, and maintain accurate records.
  • Close sales effectively while upholding company values and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer journey post-sale.

Inbound Solar Sales Consultant – Requirements
 
  • Ideally 2 years sales experience
  • Experience selling solar and battery storage solutions from an office environment.
  • Proficient in using a CRM system.

Inbound Solar Sales Consultant – Salary & Remuneration
 
  • Basic Salary of £26,000 (OTE of £50,000)
