Specification Sales Manager – Overview

We are working with a successful and established HVAC & Renewables company who are looking for a Specification Sales Manager to join the team in England. They have been operating for over 20 years and have 50+ staff and 4 offices throughout the UK. They are now looking for a Specification Sales Manager to be their first boots on the ground sales hire in England, someone they can build a team around and who they can offer progression to as the business grows.

To date, they have been very successful through their own sales channels and a lot of their work in England has come to them organically. You will be targeting predominantly M&E Consultants and Contracts, developing relationships to enable repeat business. The company specialise in large scale Air Conditioning/HVAC Systems, Heat Pumps, Ventilation and Plumbing systems. You will identify opportunities and work with the technical design teams to produce a solution which best fits each project.

Another area they would really like to push is their pre-packaged modular Heat Pump Plant Rooms which they produce and manufacture in house. You will identify opportunities, specify and help to design the solution based the customers needs and manage the sale through installation. All installation is done by their contractor network and the company then takes on the warranty and aftercare duties.

The company has a hard working but relaxed culture. They empower employees and support them in anything they need but they are not micro managers, they will leave you to get on with your work without need for constant unnecessary check-ins. You manage your own diary; you speak directly with the MD if you need support and you structure your own week how you see fit.

 This role would suit someone with a positive attitude who is able to work independently. The back office technical support, design and estimation teams are there to make your job as easy as possible and nothing is too much when it comes to helping you on a potential sale.

  • Technical knowledge across Heat Pumps, Large AC Systems, Plumbing, Plant Rooms, Ventilation
  • Proven track record selling to M&E Contractors and M&E consultants through mainland UK
  • Happy building and growing a team

Specification Sales Manager – Salary & Remuneration
               
  • Salary from £50,000 - £80,000
