Worksop Repair Engineer (HVAC, Chillers & Compressors) – Overview  

We are currently working with an established Climate Control & HVAC contractor in the Midlands who are seeking a Worksop Repair Technician to join their team, working on the refurbishment and maintenance of Rail HVAC Chiller units and compressors.

The role will be based at their Head Office in Derby and would be suited to candidates with experience in a workshop environment of a Air Conditioning or HVAC Engineer who wants to move away from being mobile and into a static position. The company’s rail division specialise within overhaul, refurbishment, maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment used on Trains such as HVAC Chillers, Compressors and other mechanical equipment. The role will include:
 
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on various mechanical equipment.
  • Stripping and rewiring of electrical components as well as electrical testing.
  • Ensure all Health and Safety procedures and adhered to at all times.
  • Using in house reporting ensure all work is quoted and completed on time.
  • Ensure your workspace in clean and organised at all times.

Experience with Electrical wiring is required and experience on Rail HVAC Chiller units and compressors would be highly advantageous, F Gas 2079 qualification would also be advantageous but not essential.

  • Experience of working within a similar role / industry
  • Logical troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in brazing and soldering pipe circuits
  • Electrical knowledge, fault finding and exchanging electrical components

  • Salary of £35,000 - £40,000
